Mike: "55" is not a "dbl-dbl".

It's a "dbl-single", as well as a weak palindrome.

Please don't confuse Bob while he's learning the fine art of grubology.

BTW: in the early days, we used to call a "dbl-single" a "twin". But, the rules committee couldn't get past the argument over whether the leading or the trailing digit was the "evil twin". So we decided to call it a "dbl-single" and avoid the whole issue.

We had a heck of a time convincing some of the rookies on the committee that "55" is not a "single-dbl". It finally came down to this simple ruling ... "a single of anything isn't worth much".

It got really messy when we started categorizing "5555".

OK, it's easy to see that "5555" is a quad. But, is it also a "double dbl-dbl"? Or, is it a "dbl-dbl, doubled"?

Or, perhaps a "triple with a kicker"?

These are the issues that try men's souls.
