I believe they are first to market with a video standard.
Just as NSCP has dominated the browser (& more) market for the
internet, whoever sets the standards early on can win the race.

I have to admit, i don't usually promote home pages but you
should visit Macromedia's, its impressive, not just hype. I just
learned that they have been licenceing(sp) Kai Powertools for
there stuff and those have established themselves a loyal following.

It seems these days that the more influential your partners are
the better the stock does. Spyglass runs with Microsoft, Sun has
benefitted the most from Java partners, Netscape has tons of
partners working on Plugins.
