KJC, Re: Yet another excellent commentary from Mr. Roach... Really? I had exactly the opposite reaction. I've read Roach and admired most of his pontifications for three or four years now. I found this to be his worst column of any I've read. My impression is that he's been drinking too much of the Enron White House kool-aid and is in the "official story regurgitation" mode in this piece of gratutious Euro-bashing. Considering the structural difference between how Europe rather more honestly accounts for its labor and economic markets, and the rather more blatantly fantastical way these things are reported in the U.S. (hedonics, hehehe!), I'd say Roach was doing nothing but blowing Bushonian smoke in this puff piece. YMMV, Ray :)
