I don't wish to spend the time to search all those fiscal comparisons out. I could find some numbers which you would contest; no doubt, you would do the same. So, rather than waste our time doing that, perhaps we could just agree to disagree on this one.

The basic paradigm I bring to this is a book which you know about but would definitely not consider helpful. It's Jonathan Kozol's Savage Inequalities.
