Actually I did not say that. What I did say is that, of the 3612.37 points the NAS has dropped from the Clinton high, 2859.45 points of it or 79.2% (can we say 80%) of the crash occurred while Clinton was still in office.

I do think there is a direct relationship to the marked decline in individual wealth and the general economic situation leading corporations to cut back production and jobs. Don't you agree?

My point is that if you want to blame GWB for the economic fall at least try to comprehend that it all began under Clinton. The economy and the markets were already in full free fall and had been for a year when GWB entered the scene.

I am trying to go easy on you. I know you are not ready to accept that GWB was finally able to stop the destruction of 401Ks that began during Clinton's reign...but eventually you may see that light too. Most folks 401Ks disintegrated while Clinton was still in office...some became 301Ks and 201Ks...probably a few 101Ks around too by the time GWB came in.

And have you ever wondered why the Clinton administration never did a single thing to stop the gross mismanagement by CEOs that was obviously taking place during his 8 years. You know... the crookedness that was causing the runup that Demos are now bragging about and trying to take credit for. Even as the stock market was crashing around them, they did nothing. I don't recall a single indictment do you?

The demos have a long way to go to explain everything away just by hammering GWB with a statistic here and there. But drowning men will always grasp for something.
