Thank you for pointing out all the reasons why you are disappointed in the United States of America. I appreciate the insight into your beliefs.
For myself, I am proud of most aspects of the United States of America, and of their citizens. And particularly of their armed forces, and of the current administration.
Although I would certainly agree that there are many areas of possible improvement in our society and our culture and our government, it is quite possible that we would not agree on the precise nature of exactly what those areas are.
By the way, you failed to mention any positive areas of our country, our culture, our values, our heritage, or our citizens, of which you are proud. Are there any?
Oh, but I forgot. You are an optimist.
How interesting that an optimist would choose to point out only those aspects of the country, in which they choose to live, in which they are disappointed. I assume that you have the wherewithal to choose to live in another country in which you might not find the same extreme disappointment. Perhaps you could suggest a few so that others who agree with you might opt to move there, and thus become less disappointed. I am certainly all in favor of everyone living in a country of which they can be proud, and not disappointed.
Speaking of disappointment, I should mention that your rather transparent attempt to bait me into posting something that would have me banned from this board was itself rather disappointing. I would have expected better of someone as thoughtful as yourself.
Have a nice day. |
