SOME THINGS TO LOVE ABOUT AMERICA | SOME THINGS TO HATE ABOUT BUSH
Bridge Player,
Your badinage in logomachy with X the Unknown seems stalled for a lack of content. Perhaps I can provide some substantive examples of why George Bush needs to be impeached and America be allowed to get back to the business of being the America many of us used to love.
The Real America: Bush's Evil Empire:
1) Respect for and adherence Multiple slashing attacks to the principles of the U.S. against civil liberties, Constitution, including: including the USA PATRIOT Act, proposed Domestic *Free Speech Security Enhancement Act, intimidation of large numbers of Arab- Americans and green card holders by aggressive tactics of the FBI, INS and other agencies. *Freedom from unlawful Multiple examples of searches and seizures. Muslim charities, ethnic restaurants and other Muslim institutions being pilfered by state secur- ity apparatus.
*An effective/honest press A venal, muzzled and highly censored and self- censored corporate media which acts, in effect, like a mouthpiece for an Orwellian Ministry of Truth.
*Habeus Corpus A legal kludge, called the "enemy combatant" status, used to deny basic civil rights to anyone the President or Attorney General arbit- rarily designates.
*Congress shall declare war A thin tissue of lies used to secure excessive authority for the Presi- dent to unilaterally take the U.S. military into unprovoked and naked aggressions as in Iraq.
*Posse Comitatus Act, 1878 Destruction of the rules preventing the use of the U.S. military within the borders of the U.S. The newly created "Northern Command" and the use of FEMA to orchestrate urban relocation centers being prima facie evid- ence of a sinister slip- page of liberties for the citizens of the nation.
There are dozens of other examples of why George Bush's efforts to destroy the America we love must be resisted by informing the American public that the future that George Bush proposes is not the only and certainly not the best future for our nation.
For an excellent review of the evil intent of George Bush, I highly recommend this excellent essay:
