Lyle, I guess my point is that JFK's upcoming mission in Dallas was given scads of publicity well in advance of the actual event, as was the route the motocade would take. This provided an unprecedented golden opportunity to any entity of a mind to assassinate JFK--and I believe there were many of that mindset. At the time of his assassination, JFK had many enemies, and his popularity in the polls was at an all-time low.
My original point was that there were many factions that wanted JFK out, and what may appear to be conspiracy to those who believe the conspiracy theories may actually have been diverse entities (gunmen) acting independently of one another, very likely without knowledge of one another, that day in Dallas, be it the CIA, the Mafia, Southern right-wing extremists, Castro, Vietnam, the Kremlin, Oswald, or some other crackpot whose name is now forever lost to history.
