The North Koreans are living a horrible nightmare of starvation and deprivation. If ever there was a reason to free an oppressed people, the horror of the North Korean regime is that reason.

<font color=blue> You wrote:" but we will be a secondary player. The Chinese are scared to death of re-emergent Japanese power, and will step on a cockroach to keep the region from becoming unstable."<font color=black>

I have a feeling that the aged, corrupt Chinese bureaucracy doesn't give a shit about North Korea as long as it doesn't hurt their own selfish, tyrannical rule.

But, I agree with you on one point. America should not be the major player on North Korea. If the Chinese rulers had any balls they would have freed the North Korean people long ago. They just don't care.

America is one of the few powers on earth that has fought for the freedom and democracy of others. Small minds blame America for everything that is WRONG with the world, but, actually America is responsible for what is RIGHT with the world.

The leaders of China should hand their heads in shame for allowing the suffering to continue in North Korea.
