There are some both here and on FADG that insist the "news" come from reliable sources.... Does anyone know this one? And what makes them reliable? Some thought NYT was reliable, until Blair disproved that....

And don't misunderstand....yes, if there were in fact, proven nuclear sites in Iraq, they should have been guarded...after the shooting stopped....

Things I watch in a story are words like I've bolded below...

asahi.com

"In what may prove to be deadly errors,

they dumped the radioactive substance on land near their village and washed the drums in a local river.

Note: may??? prove??? and who is they???

Officials believe the looters inevitably inhaled large quantities of the uranium.

To make a bad situation worse, the villagers may have ingested radioactive material after converting the drums to water and cooking oil containers."

Note: who are the officials???? ineviatably??? uranium??? may have ...again...

So tell me.....the UN says there was no nuclear weapons in Iraq....

What makes this particular reporter so sure there is...and the material is here in this particular site?

IF it was in this particular place, surely the Iraqi's aren't stupid. Perhaps this group had a lower level of education...but did they NOT know that something was in the area that shouldn't be there?

What do the tests on the site say about nuclear contamination?
