Kurt, thanks for your contribution.
Few posting (vs reading) on this thread seem interested in Corel's financial performance. This might be because several prolific contributors exclusively post articles proclaiming the greatness of Java, the low, low quality of Microsoft products and the almost criminal mindset inborn to Microsoft personnel.
A most annoying situation - and far, far removed from reality! Worse, I can imagine that more serious, financially oriented people lose interest in posting after seeing that the thread is hijacked by people driven exclusively (and I say exclusively) by a hate for Microsoft. Those individuals are hardly making "meaningful contributions" to any discussion involving Corel.
Of course, the new thread you announced seemed tailor-made to take over the war of words between pro and anti-MS people. What would *I* be doing there? You may have noticed that I'm simply reacting to excessive, unfounded, one-sided 'Corel Cheering' and 'Microsoft Bashing'. God, never dreamt of "aggressively challenging personal aspects of stock ownership"...
I guess that to get 'ripped' for continously posting nonsense should be expected - and is even, how should I put it, appropriate? Ripping people certainly seems less dangerous on an investment forum than ripping companies based on a personal hate.
But if you, or anyone else, are upset by my posts in any way, then why, please skip them! What could be easier?! Saves you a mouseclick, perhaps two.
Then again, I can see that not joining in with the hard-core anti-MS crowd on this thread is going to take a lot of effort on my side. I've thought about starting a new Corel thread for people more interested in Corel and less interested in Microsoft. Let me know what chance you think there is for keeping such a thread Corel specific.
Oh, and Kurt: "Wit and awesome intellect". You've got me blushing behind the keyboard, really...
