After my computer died, a fresh install of Win2000 has brought an interesting quirk. Now, when I use the Scottrade Streamer, which is a realtime stock list done in Java, it puts an icon in my systray. It also jitters like crazy and after a bit, causes the computer to lockup, forcing a reboot.

Does anyone have any clues why or how to resolve this because it's useless trading as is?
