Bob Pepper is the Level One CEO. I was one of about 30 people in the meeting, and yes, I had heard something about competition between Adtran and the group which includes Level One (:-). It wasn't said in a competitor-bashing sort of way, in fact Pepper went out of his way to say that Adtran was a fine company with great engineering talent, but that even the best can overlook something in a product as comples as this. There was no discussion that I can recall about the description of the flaw, but then portfolio managers are hardly the sort who would be expected to understand it anyway.

Whether this is a buying opp or not depends, in part, on what the other 29 people in the room did when they left and whether this same info has been disseminated elsewhere and whether the comment has substance. As I said in my earlier post, it was news to me.
