Mattson Technology Selected as Primary Supplier for RTP and Strip Technology by New China Foundry

FREMONT, Calif., May 12 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Mattson Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq: MTSN - News), a leading supplier of advanced process equipment used to manufacture semiconductors, today announced that it has secured orders for multiple RTP and Aspen Strip systems from a major semiconductor foundry in China. The systems, which have already started shipping, will be installed in the customer's facilities and will be used to support advanced sub-micron geometry manufacturing processes, including bulk strip, post-implant strip, annealing and silicidation. The orders, the first in a series of orders to be placed for Mattson equipment, reflect Mattson's selection as a strategic equipment supplier for this newest China foundry. This initial systems sale marks the beginning of a long-term relationship in which Mattson will support the new foundry's continuing manufacturing requirements.
