Skipared--- I jumped on TPRO under 4 as I am a trader not an investor. I may keep TPRO for awile as there is still alot of potential. I believe when I notified C.K. and a couple others of this find I said I expected double digets prior to year end. That was based on the info at that time of approx 13.5 mil shares. To say the amount of shares in the float is unimportant is untrue to INVESTORS. To a trader it is not important. INVESTORS are concerned about PE! With Y2K included the probability of double digets by year end is still extremely likely,, barring any company negative surprises (which I seriously doubt) and great market fluctuation.
I too have had great success on buying/shorting on insider moves and issues about to split. Insider buying is a great indicator of which way the stock is going to move.. selling is not quite so indicative and must be analyzed.
I am a trader and not looking for assistance. What you have stated on the possibility of volatility (1-2 points down and 10 or more up) is what I believe many INVESTORS are not open too. I am sure some like JDN are well aware of the situation but others believe there is no downside possibility ,, even short term,, with this issue,, hence my agreement with the "mania" comment.
In my conversation with Jenkins and a couple posts I indicated the need for numerous announcements and strong PR. Contract announcements, both Y2K and core business,, are a very big requirement for traders to stay--- and some have large enough holding to cause price fluctuations. This is easily done on inexpensive stocks.I would feel better if we were in a 30 point range as no group could cause fluctuations as easily. If that should happen there are alot of holders of small lots that will fold or be shaken loose,,, a ripple effect. Not enough shares are in strong INVESTORS hands to keep this from happening YET! As a few drops occurr these shares will be bought be those holding and institutions. PR and ANNOUNCEMENTS ARE REQUIRED for both traders and investors.. more than recently put out. As simple and inimportant as it sounds a currant, simple, informative web site is also required for investors and potential customers--- cheap and easy if done... costly if not done.
Some one has compare the possibility of the price of this issue to follow ZITEL--- I believe that is true. I hope it does not rise as fast (percentage or dollar wise). The difference here is there are contracts and a core business that will survive.
At this point you have indicated a difference between Investors and traders and I have addressed my views on both. RIGHT NOW as you have pointed out TPRO is for both and neither. We are all gamblers with this issue but most of us have the firm belief the odds are about 98% in our favor. Jenkins has done a great job. The need for Hagewood was addressed well and will keep the probability of strong growth on the plus side. One man cannot do it all. I believe there are some things that need fast remediation at this time-- actually in the past that will be and in some cases have been addressed. That is not a negative statement-- no company has every duck in order and with the problems of past years and the recent growth there are very few that could have or would have done as well as Jenkins.
Much of what I have rambled here is strictly my thoughts from a traders view. It was provided to show we ARE on the same page as you are the investor and I the trader and agree we are limited gamblers at this point. Gambling is something we are used to and understand but how many of the total shareholders in the issue also understand? Granted the potential is very strong in our favor but a slight potential is also there for a fall. Until all shares are in the float and information is passed frequently to the public, customers, and shareholders the downside is there. Also much or most of this would not be here if it could have been emailed to you. I generally never respond to those on this thread that do not post their email address but felt it warranted in this instance.
May we as investors AND traders see double digets. Believe it or not without traders investing would be far less exciteing and profitable. It is generally the traders that find these gems like TPRO.
I hope this offends no one as it is meant to be positive to all and the company. It is meant to keep everyone awake (including the company) to all the possibilities and requirements. As most of my holdings are under 4 my downside is extremely limited. No one currantly holding should be hurt if the market holds and management continues to do as well as in the recent past and improve PR.
