What's behind the Veritas makeover?

Gary Bloom, Veritas chief executive, said a current
shareholder proposal to expense options would be difficult to carry out if it passes at the upcoming annual shareholders meeting. The shareholder proposal calls for expensing only options of Veritas executives, whereas a proposed change to accounting rules are outlining an all or nothing scenario. Bloom said he is "relatively indifferent to" the shareholder proposal, providing all companies in the storage industry have to go by the same rules.
