My expectations would be only speculations. Until I find facts to support them, they will remain speculations.

The key here is the contention that these were bomb experts. I do not believe Shevardnadze would make such a statement. I expect him to agree that some nuclear scientists are in Iran. There is a big difference between transfer of experties to build and run nuclear plants and the experties on how to assemble plutonium into a bomb.

Then there is the matter of saying that nukes are an insurance against internal uprising. How? Does it seem reasonable to you that they would nuke their own cities?

But ultimately Bill, all you and I have to do is wait for 3 months. If by then Iran has tested a nuclear bomb as Ledeen claims they will, then he will have my everlasting respect. But if nothing happens, then we have to agree he weaves half truths and plays into prejudices to further his own views. I am even willing to grant him double that time and wait till the end of the year.
