ork, I agree with you. I believe that the bulls are trying to lay the ground work for positive spin. AMAT had nothing good to say during recent CC's. NVLS had been bullish until the last one. SARS was a major excuse for lack of visibility for them.

Every chip house has been slashing costs and CAPEX. I do not see how AMAT can honestly predict a major increase in sales that would not normally be included in their normal sales cycles. Last October, AMAT did $400 million over the January quarter. If the analysts try pumping AMAT for 20% growth, the game will truly be in control.

A 20% increase in sales yields a 15% decline yoy.
