"The UN had sanctions against Saddam Hussein's regime for 12 years because of his WMD programs. The UN security council passed a resolution unanimously calling for Iraq to stop his WMD programs OR ELSE. Iraq had admitted in 1995 to having TONS of chemical and biological weapons."

The sanctions were to prevent him from deveoping or owning many types of weapons... The UN inspectors declared him free of such weapons when they left in about 1995 and they never found anything of consequence after that with the possible exception of some rockets that could be modified to exceed the allowed range. .... Show me where Iraq admitted to having tons of WMD's and you may have a good argument....if you can't I would suggest you go silent..... What was the threat from Saddam other than that perceived by the paranoia of the RW and Bush....?
