Oracle exec sees evidence of pent-up demand

NEW YORK (Dow Jones/AP) -- A senior executive at Oracle Corp. said Tuesday that corporations, which have postponed new technology purchases in recent years, are slowly starting to loosen their purse strings.

Keith Block, executive vice president for Oracle's North American sales and consulting business, said at a conference that there is ``enormous pent-up demand out there'' in certain industries and ``we're starting to see this (logjam) break up.''
