hi Jim, yep, the article in Atlantic Monthly talks about the issues in saudi...i am puzzled as to why gold stocks got whacked today given this development...similar to what you say, i talked to someone who's father is from Sudan, Muslim guy, works hard in the oil industry in the gulf, but says the locals are incredibly lazy, can have jobs just signing papers if they want, have tutors to get them through school...even sitting with them during exams.
but why did the gold stocks get hit today ? just one day's action or something more...and why don't you seem to be interested in buying some energy shares ??
