The difference is Europe's population is projected to decline over the next 50 years, quite sharply. The dream of having a market in parity with the United States won't happen. The size of the EU market will shrink to a projected 200 million, while the US is projected to grow - to half a billion Americans by the midpoint of the century. China will be the grand market to compete with the US, IMHO, not Europe. Derek
