A long road to travel...

Thanks for your note. I have actually been a stockholder since March '96 myself. Have listened to AlphaBeta's biotech conference presentations and breakout discussions on 4 different occasions with growing interest.

On July 16 ABTI had a brief internal meeting to review and discuss the timetable for the adjudication and data release. I called Investor Relations right after that meeting and was reassured that the timetable was definitely firm. I proceeded to add 300 August 10 call contracts to my equity ownership, driving the price from 3/4 to 1 1/4. I think this meeting and my buying pressure contributed to the 15% increase in the stock price that day.

I am most pleased that I succeded in getting my father, a conservative blue chip investor, to pick up 100 August 10 call contracts. He has been singing the praises of the 30% annual returns he's been getting on his blue chips for the last couple years. (Son, why don't you just buy the big drug company stocks) I promised him a 500 to 1000% return in a few weeks with very little risk. It is very satisfying when you give somebody good advice, they actually take it, and then the advice turns out to be right.

I view the upcoming data release as a kind of celebration in which AlphaBeta finally gets the recognition and market valuation it deserves. Spiros and his associates have given so much of their lives to the development of this promising technology. I will be happy for them.
