That's a cute reply. It serves to hide the fact that you can't identify any threats that would validate our military bases.

Apparently you don't read the news, or even headlines while posting opinions and rhetoric.

We need bases now for quick movements to wipe out terrorists and terrorist governments. Afghanistan, Iraq are just the start. Many are coming around already, e.g. Syria, Iran, etc. Others will need to be "persuaded."

Burying your head in the sand and crying "empire," just won't cut it when dealing with terrorists and those from whom they get their support.
