Attacks increase pressure on fragile ties between US and Saudi Arabia

The attacks strengthen ties between the US and the government of Saudi Arabia - it is probably causing them to think again about whether they really want the US to pull out. The attacks also show that it is not US policy and presence that the terrorists oppose - it is stability in Saudi Arabia that they oppose and anti-American hatred that they stir up and thrive off of. If troops actually pulled out, they would have less chance of gaining greater domestic support and less chance of toppling the government in favor of their own totalitarian dream.
