Tradng is much safer, that's for sure. Stocks with normal liquidity won't turn the stop into disaster. On the other side, cowboy in me sometimes wakes up and says: "hey, don't you miss those instant 3/8 or 3/4??"
But I tell him "with this reliable support for stops I just increase my shares", and he goes to sleep again :)

On serious note, did you guys notice recent increase of stocks with nasty spreads, moving quite jumpy? If this is possible even with decimals, they would go bananas with fractions. Also, I am not sure I understand how they could do away with narrow spreads even if they wanted to... they can't forbid ECNs to use penny increments, can they? If they can't, this all becomes just mute point... but I woke you up :)
