I'm all for fighting back which is why I may (repeat MAY) have supported an assault on Sudan if we had credible evidence OBL was there. And, as an extra added bonus, SUDAN happens to be one of the more egregious human rights violators so those of you who are so concerned about Saddam Hussein and feel so compelled to invade iraq for humanitarian reasons could have satisfied your deep heartfelt concern for humanitarian goodness by saving the Sudanese from their government.

Iraq was one of the better countries in the ME as far as human rights are concerned particulaly for women. And Saddam Hussein really kept a lid on religious fundamentalism anybody notice that? AND the society was educated too! So what did we have in iraq- no religious fundamentalism + an educated society..... ?

I'll tell you what they had in iraq, they had a society that would have overturned SH on their own and adopted capitalism most likely. But then, the US had to go in and bomb the hell out of the place and cause all kinds of global resentment plus create a leadership vacuum which is allowing the religious nuts over there to gain support. Guess what? Maybe, just maybe it takes a tyrant leader to keep this fundamentalism under control did anybody think of that? We are worse off as a country for attacking that place and I blame the Bush administration.
