Well, Yes I could be. BUT I've often found that people whom need more information from posts often do so, because
A) they don't have enough technical experience to due the work, or

The serial cable...
The serial cable connecting your two computers must be a null modem (computer to computer) type. It can be purchased from any electronic supply store. {realize, it's slow. so if your moving megs of files.... due it over a weekend or so}
The Network Cable....
Each computer requires a network card, and you use a standard crossover cable...and then windows protocals features.
Then you can download the simple program, and follow directions.
I aint ussed a null modem cable in 10 years.

beyond that, I'd need to know the OS of each computer, and then... well.... it still wouldn't matter.
in simple words, it's easy, but slow. get network cards etc, if you are moving more then 4 gigs, or it'll take forever. |
