Actually no. In America, you must not trust language, businessmen or the media. Here's a guide: You aren't quite keeping up with the scheme. Paleoconservatives are now progressives. Progressives are now populist progressives. Some social liberals have morphed into neo-cons and that's more a statement about how they act as 'confidence men and grifters' than about their neo-isms. All too confusing? We'll you ought to feel lucky that you don't live here. It's worse. I guarantee it. Paleo-conservatives are well represented by this ilk: American Conservative Magazine, Anti-war.com, Rep. Ron Paul, Lew Rockwell.com and some undigested real Repuglicans like George Voinovich and Olympia Snow. Neo-conmen are the ascendant force in Washington. They are all scum. They are all hustlers who are working an angle. They are all well short of serving the prison time they richly deserve. Neo-cons are just overwrought grifters. Nothing more.
