I trust Ekko 101 more than Alan Greenface. 3% CPI is inflation, not deflation. And while pumping such liquidity into the market, they would have to be Very Incompetent Indeed to achieve deflation.

Methinks it is a plot to trick us into thinking we have to contend with NEGATIVE real interest rates in order to escape the boogeyman (deflation). If they told us the truth, that interest rates cannot be increased even a tiny bit for fear of bursting the credit bubble, the monkeys might be less happy campers -g-

Not yet. Stands are up, roads are lined with steel stuff, and ads are everywhere. Tourists in shorts are are posing/taking photos wherever you look. It's nice and sunny. We've got a balcony to watch the F1 from, invitations to a dozen parties on three nights, and I don't expect to sleep at all from 30 May (Friday) morning to 2 June (Monday) morning. Last year, I came home at about 8AM and was royally pissed when the cars started the practice runs at 9AM. This year, I don't expect it to be that much of a problem -g-
