Not really. In Dale's case, through time and on several different issues, I had the impression that he had a religious affinity to Israel to so believed they are right in everything they do, especially since there did not seem to be hard factual reasons for these convictions.

Pro-Israel might be the wrong term, actually. I am pro-Israel as well, in it that I am for the existence of Israel populated by its Jewish majority. Peaceful existence with its neighbours, preferably... What I am not for is the politics of its current head of State, Sharon.

Re Dale - I would not be able to give examples now and the impression might of course be wrong. Actually, I am disinterested about who is of what religion, and hence have not even bothered to learn which is a "Jewish name" and which is not...

You realize that George W. Bush is NOT "Jewish", don't you?<g>

President of the US is a bit of a different story, though. Even if he were not a born-again Christian, he would have to continue with the US support for Israel.
