Crazy Question????

I am hoping to make the transition from dial-up to broadband sometime soon, though I still do not know when as costs are high and there are not many providers. My current prvider, ATT, does not even service my area. In the interim, I was thinking of setting up a peer to peer network with my PDA if possible. Will I be able to share my dial-up internet, with 802.11b set in peer to peer? Anyone tried this yet? I know it sounds crazy.....even counter-intuitive, but the fact is that I really do not use the net much at home and to this point could not justify the $50 per month or so it costs.

TIA

Brian
