Hybird stripers hitting topwaters early and late

This Lamar County lake is a bit off the beaten path, but fishing for hybrid stripers and white bass has been red hot. Last week, I joined Merle Smith and guide Allen Ballard (903-732-3860), and we used topwater baits to catch easy limits of hybrids in the 4- to 13-pound range. During early morning and late afternoon, hybrids are chasing baitfish back into the lakes' many coves, and the action was nonstop. Few birds are on the lake to lead you to action, but on a calm day you can hear the big fish splashing the surface for quite a distance

now, this will mess up MY fishing trip for Sat *(have to be home to see the Preakness) as this will most likely put an additional three hundred boats on my little lake ...

I'll bet this Clayton guy is a yankee carpetbagger <gggg>
