General market direction right now IMO is being influenced by several factors.

IMO we are still in a "buy the dip" mode for many stocks, the passing on the tax cut bill will IMO be perceived as positive to the market, and despite the "bubble" thoughts of many, real estate continues to do very well in many areas. (both commercial and residential).

Overall, I'm not wildly bullish....but I just think there are several factors helping to keep the market in a specific trading range.
