I just got Norton System Works 2003 Professional Edition and was wondering if it can be installed on top of a previous version (NSW 2001). My gut tells me I should play it safe and use the uninstaller with the older version and then run the cleanup utility (SYMClean) to clean out the stuff the uninstaller missed before installing the new version. I am running win 98 SE. Just want to make sure I don’t screw anything up.

I also have over 5 months left on my NAV subscription and assume that I would loose that time if I completely uninstall the older version. On the other hand it would be worth it to avoid problems. What would you do?
