I racked my brain for an answer to the same question. One answer it gave me was the Canadian dollar has been rising faster than gold. Claude sells gold in U.S. DOLLARS. It will be harder to show profit on the books as the U.S. dollar gold sales will not be as much when converted to Canadian for accounting purposes.
The Canadian dollar will peek soon and gold will catch up and surpass, increasing the Canadian dollar value of gold.
Buying opportunity in my opinion.
Kudlow (Lawrence of America) is pretty well connected with the Republican government. Actually in my opinion he is an "infomercial" for them. Lately he has been preparing the investment public for a gold increase. He is spending a fair amount of time saying gold going to $400 is a "good thing" as it would indicate liquidity in the system to create a little inflation and support the market.
There is a lot of talk of a rising gold price (+400) creating fear. His job is to "prepare" the investors for a rising gold price and preventing fear from taking hold as it moves up, as it will.
I think Claude will eventually be taken over, but if this is in the cards then one should consider the 30% of the area around SEABEE held by CURRIE ROSE V.CUI. They stand to appreciate more and any takeover of Claude should also include a move on CURRIE ROSE to obtain the other 30%.
It is difficult to put a speculative value on the area surrounding SEABEE, but at present the speculative value of the 30% held by Currie Rose has not recieved it`s fair value in the marketplace. in my opinion.
The Canadian dollar can only appreciate so much against a falling greenback. Exporters are already cringing. GOLD HAS NO SUCH PARAMETERS. If the Gata (and others) numbers are correct we could see a gram of gold increasing in value (U.S.) from the $10 or $11 range to over $20 a gram. The SEABEE (AND SURROUNDING JOINT VENTURE) will reflect the increase immediately as infrastructure is already their and production is ongoing.
