Hello Pezz, Today’s Report:
(a) Sold entire position of Tom.Com at HKD 2.30. It was bought at this point for HKD 1.80 http://www.siliconinvestor.com/readmsg.aspx?msgid=18141229 October 22nd, 2002 … bought … Tom.com in Hong Kong
… thus actualizing a 28% gain over an elapsed time of 7 months.
Tom.Com is another of Mr. Li Kai-shen’s companies, just like CK Life which I sold at 23% profit over same holding period http://www.siliconinvestor.com/readmsg.aspx?msgid=18942068 May 14th, 2003
Neither of these two companies has any substance, prospect, or work, but they are good for an annual visit. It is, mathematically speaking, just as if one invests in a real company that generates genuine dividends;0)
(b) <<Don't you ever work?>>
Yes, I do, but only when there is work to be done, as opposed to “let’s look as if I am working busy work”.
In the meantime, I am watching today’s exciting episode of “GUDD - Gold Up Dollar Down”, along with everything else up and dollar down.
I am digging into the annual reports of SJT and HGT today, with a lunch break, barber shop visit, and then probably a swim, followed by more digging.
I think tonight may be a GUDD night, and so will spend a little time watching the action.
(c) <<lookin for a place to live>> … consider charging the down payment on the Visa card, and pay off the Visa balance by shorting some naked calls on big caps, and selling some naked puts on gold miners. This is how you can get a house for free:0)
(d) <<Friday I bought back 60% of that SMSI (I sold Thursday for 4.90) for 3.49 ... Ya see that's idea you're suppose to buy it back for LESS than ya sell it for 8^)>> … most cruel cut;0) Ok, I think your timing is off on this trade.
