Dear Ish: Been reading your posts on Swordfish with interest. We used to have a lot right here in S. Fla. in the Gulfstream. Many friends of mine used to go out and catch one or two to earn a little money. Never hear of that anymore. As to the rest of sport fishing, I have heard the reason its fallen off locally isnt that the stocks are down but that the BAIT FISH have increased dramatically (netting no longer allowed for catching bait fish) thus more competition for THE HOOK. jdn
