Bob,

I personally have no problem with having forums for political discussion.

However, when a group of squatters take over a site and the discussion has nothing to do with the "title" of the "Subject" it is unfair. Someone on the "Applied Materials [AMAT]" thread actually said "Lurkers have no rights" when a complaint was made about the completely off topic discussion.

Comments made about the ease of creating a new thread and moving to it were ignored. SI ignored complaints...
