Anyone here a TheStreet subscriber? There's an interesting-looking article beginning on Yahoo, but I can't say it's worth the subscription price on its own <g> Still, I'm curious to know how he finishes. I'm guessing it's "buy Dell anyway"...

Bedeviled by Dell? Just Give In

Dell is driving everyone nuts. Because it is a traditional hardware company, very few analysts are willing to get behind it "up here." Because it is taking share and not reinventing the market, nobody can justify a multiple like that for an eBay or an Amazon. Because the growth is consistent and not explosive, those who write and talk about tech are embarrassed to award it with a huge premium price-to-earnings ratio.

So you have a stock that kind of goes up over time, that creeps up, that quietly makes money with no real champions other than Michael Dell. In fact, I know more people who want to go short the stock here than buy it.
