What you said and why it looks stupid to me.

"Democrats act in a purely partisan fashion sometimes, and, I happen to believe, more often than Republicans, at this point in time. But it is not as if either party has been that pure, historically. After all, we have to bear the cross of Watergate." DUHHHH why a cross to bear????

I'd say calling the actions of Republicans in watergate partisan compared to mr. bill and his dems is very funny at best and mostly stupid and the worse is for others to decide.

Republicans gave President Nixon the benefit of the doubt. He was guilty of allowing really stupid and illegal activity to occur. Consider that the need to do it was non existant.
He was going to win the next election and nothing he got in info had the bug succeeded could reasonably improved his chances. The dems was going to get creamed. So taking the President at his word seemed rational to me.

But in the end when the truth came out Republicans told him he had to go and being a man of honor who had acted badly he left.

Now tell us how President Nixon's actions and the actions Republicans when the truth was out is 1/10 as partisan as the dems and Mr. bill.
