I think this might help..........
I have a 2nd PC: 7+ yrs old Micron, 133 mhz with max RAM capacity, running Win98SE.
It's still running on the original battery (soldered in type) with no signs of quitting either.
It's dependable & even with a 28.8 modem, it's really not that slow! Honest!
Anyway, that PC can be running for days & weeks non-stop.
I'd say after 1 wk the clock starts to slow down - and the pace at which it slows increases slowly each day.
All I have to do is reboot the PC, the clock resets itself and the process begins over again.
After all these years, I've learned to no longer pay any attention to the clock because the rest of the PC is still running at its normal pace. Except I know that after 1 wk, my PC is so wound up that it will eventually need a fresh reboot.
Ahhhh, the pause that refreshes!
