What is it that you know and nobody else does, that lets you claim that the existence of God is a "logical deduction"? What is your "understanding of things", pray tell?
Do you believe there exists dimensions of space and time beyond what our senses are currently able to experience??
Are you claiming that there cannot be any form of sentient entity that resides on these extra-dimensional "universes", governed by their even more complex rules of physical laws?
If we acknowledge the existence of other dimensions, then it seems implicit that we have no way of determining whether or not extra-dimensional entities exist.
But if they do, then it appears logical that their existence in a different dimension permits them to interact with our own at the time and place of their choosing. And it seems logical that the can impact, if not actually create, any multitude of other dimensional universes.
So can I prove that sentient entities exist in other dimensions? Clearly no. But isn't that like Bugs Bunny claiming that Chuck Jones never existed and that he's his "own wabbit", created by no one, governed by his own rules, and accountable to no higher authority??
For your info, the current studies in physics predict more than three dimensions. In fact, certain superstring ("membrane", really) theories are "most elegant" in 11-dimensions - 10 of space, and 1 of time.
And is it not implicit that each higher dimension can exist without knowledge of even higher ones?
You may find if "galling", but I believe you're just so anti-religion that you have translated that into anti-god... What I'm describing bears little, if any, resemblance to any organized religious dogma. What I'm referring to is the existence of entities existing in dimensions who have the ability to create and interact at a level you or I could not possibly understand. And of course, to them we may appear to be "dots and lines", or "circles and triangles" in their perception... That all of these natural laws which exist on their dimension and ours just "happened" to spawn from nowhere...
But I merely hold open the possibility that maybe we're just a "dream of Brahma", or some other extra-dimensional thought passing through the mind of a higher being which neither you, nor I can understand.
Either way, it doesn't affect my current existence. I just accept the possibility that we're more than mere breeding machines designed only to pass on our genetic material whichever way possible...
And since you can't prove that I'm wrong, we're obviously at an impasse. Hawk |
