<<the SS system is one of the primary causes of the tremendous budget deficit we currently have>>

It's simply a tax by another name, with no obligation by the feds to pay back any particular part of same to swindled taxpayers in their dotage.

It is well-administered -- it's just the gov't insiders who would risk jail if they uttered the fraudulent word "insurance", which exposes their power to rob taxpayers anytime they wish.

They pale in comparison to the real swindle -- a few trillion absent from DOD. Again.

What happened? -- pick one:

1) it's "waste", and we're agin it!, says major wealth-distributor Rumsfeld cbsnews.com

2) it's fraud

If you carefully read all sides the conclusion becomes inescapable: American taxpayers are fleeced whenever and wherever possible, and the gov't agencies are in prime position to fleece them, DOD most of all, this administration the primo capo-tutti-capo of all administrations to suck the lifeblood under various and sundry excuses, threats, real and imagined, to feed the ongoing machine.

At least SS transfers a semblance of wealth to oldsters, means-tested or not. The industrial-military complex is simply in the business of making war on citizens of whoever can be fleeced, by whatever means necessary.
