Well, I'm basically on the fence over the qualifying issues. Also in fairness, there have been plenty of men allowed sponsor exemptions without qualifying either. From the sponsor's point of view (Bank of America), they guaranteed their money's worth for allowing the entry.

PGA has no rule that it's a men's only league.

Augusta does allow women to play the course, women are not allowed membership.

There's no debate that men have (generally) greater muscle mass, and as such the LPGA HAS to protect the league from men that can't compete on the PGA and would migrate to the LPGA. And if that were the case then the "LPGA" would end up as not much different than the "Nike" Tour (or National Tour) filled with male players so the women only clause has to exist. I wonder if Renee Richards can join the LPGA?

I concur with your title nine stance.

Don't start me on double standard issue, cause people would make you the "popular" guy of the thread and would flame me instead. <G>
