John, I think the locals love large peacekeeping forces. In Bosnia and Kosovo they object strenuously whenever there are noises about reducing the forces. Peacekeeping forces are very profitable for the locals. I think Iraq will be no different and I doubt that any serious opposition will develop to our staying there. It's not like we oppress them. They are well aware that compared to Saddam's police and the revolutionary guards in Iran across the border we are pussycats.
