I have faith in American institutions, and have to admit, at the end of the day, that although there was a case, it was somewhat weak. In the end, I couldn't really blame people from voting their consciences. I think that the support that he got was unseemly, and I thought that he should be impeached at least, which is, in fact, the only Constitutionally prescribed censure. I would probably have voted to remove him from office, myself. But I do not think that one should infer some big failure of the system from the failure to remove.........
