People are not sure of the correct fiscal policy, of course, but the mainstream tends to respond well to the idea of allowing the economy to take care of itself, by allocating less money to Washington and more to their wallets, and by imposing fewer unfunded mandates on businesses, so that the economy may grow and create jobs. They are comfortable with the idea that the main thing is to find the right policy mix for the economy to grow overall, rather to impose policy preferences which might impede growth.......
