Ron From the troubles you are having with uninstalling Norton I would manually uninstall Norton 2001 by following the directions on this page: service1.symantec.com and then I'd do the same for Norton 2003 service1.symantec.com You may get lucky but I feel you're headed for nothing but trouble if you don't go back and start with a proper installation.
