I was going to let this go until you chimed in with Steve. Islam and Christianity have a different basis for looking at the State. They are separate in Christianity. They are not in Islam. This makes it a lot easier to separate the two in Christianity. You are never going to get a "Separation of Church and State" in an Islam country written into a constitution.

So as much as you and Steve want to claim there is no basic difference between the two, it won't wash.
